My available check rides on this site are for pilot applicants only, not for CFIs/Flight Schools to book. I encourage CFIs and Flight Schools to subscribe to my profile to receive a notification when I release availability. By subscribing, CFIs/Flight Schools can notify their students that a booking is available.

I release dates 30 days out on a rolling basis. What you see on Checkrider is what I have available, and more dates will show up as they enter the 30-day timeframe. Please subscribe to my profile; you will receive an email when new dates are posted.

If you book a standby slot and later find that you don't need it, please cancel it promptly. This will allow other pilots to utilize that period.

Check rides booked on CheckRider are primarily at LWB. To avoid early morning fog or weather, you might consider traveling to LWB a day before your check ride.

Occasionally, I have check rides available at RIC or FXE. The CheckRider map shows available check rides and their locations.

CANCELATIONS: If we must cancel (weather, emergency, etc.), I will cancel your booking, and you will receive a voucher to use when we reschedule.

Multiengine: I currently conduct MEL and MEI in PA-23, PA-34, and PA-44.

Helicopter: I do not do R-22/44.

Fees:

• The fees below are for check rides at LWB. Fees are increased by $200 for check rides booked at RIC or FXE.
• Light Sport, Private, Instrument, Commercial (ASEL or AMEL), and MEI fees are $700. The retest fee is $350
• CFI-I (Instrument rating added to CFI) Fee is $850. Retest fee $425
• The Initial CFI Fee is $1,200. Retest fee $600

A fee of $350 will be charged if the check ride is not able to proceed due to:

• Missing training documentation, training requirements, or required experience
• Pre-existing aircraft airworthiness discrepancies
